Newgrounds page for Truly Infamous, aka Magmania. Feel free to use my music in any project so long as you give me adequate credit (a link is preferred.) All my music is posted to my YouTube channel first.
Yes, I know my name here is misspelled.
I created a Bandcamp page for those who wish to optionally support me (everything will have a minimum price of zero) and get maximum quality FLAC audio of my music. I really doubt I will be very quick on uploading my music there but I'll try to work on it.
I'm very reluctant to even give the option to support me financially (music is a hobby and will always stay that way) but now I have one for the sake of having it.
I'm going to be uploading my older songs from my YouTube channel for the time being. Expect music of generally lesser quality than my recent work as most of the music I need to upload is at least 2.5 years old. I've got like... at least 40 old songs that need uploaded here so I'll be spacing them out.
Unlike a lot of artists, I don't hate my old music. I think a lot of it has its own kind of simplistic charm while having a unique sound. I've improved a lot in the nearly 6 years I've been making music but sometimes I wish I still made it like my old LMMS stuff.
My music is now available to be used in Geometry Dash. Finally!
All my tracks should have their use in GD enabled (with rare exceptions to prevent any potential conflicts. I think only one track has its use disabled atm so don't worry about it.)
There's still a lot of songs on my YouTube channel that I haven't gotten around to uploading here so if there's any ones you want to see on Newgrounds, let me know.
(Just realized I can embed YT videos and that's part of why I'm making this post. Might just embed when I include the YouTube uploads on my songs from now on.)
So I guess this is the last song I've released in 2024. A bit of a bittersweet end to a dreadful year but I'm proud of this track and all the creative works I've done this year. I think it really shows how much I've improved my music-making skills.
2024 has been my darkest year but not everything about it was bad. I got a new job (that I don't totally hate), I started making art, (it always felt like an unobtainable skill to me but here I am!) and I've been super productive with music. My creative outlets have been working overtime to keep me sane this year.
This piece ended up really encapsulating my feelings right now. Beneath this mess still lies some hope... I'll openly admit it's the only song of mine that ever made me cry. after I added the animation it just... started bringing out the emotions like nothing else can atm. the drop at 4 minutes is what does it for me. I guess it's a bit of a relief. seems I'm not as dead inside as I thought... :(
Well, here's hoping 2025 can bring about a bit more light in my life. I'm sick of living in darkness but can't seem to do anything about it. Regardless of how things turn out, I never want to stop creating. I want to thank everybody who checked out my art or music this year as well.
All the OpenMPT project files and individual tracks have been uploaded to my page, and I have added links to the original album upload. I know I'm literally a year late, but better late than never. I didn't have the foresight to do this when I first released the album and I kind of just wanted to get the thing out and be done with it. I don't want to re-release the album so sprucing it up is the best I can do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
All the project files contain a list of all the samples I used and exactly where I got them from. You can download all the modules for the album at once here, or you can download individual modules in the description of its relevant NG audio. The projects can be viewed in OpenMPT. I plan to retroactively add the project files to a few other older OpenMPT tracks as well but idk when I'll get around to that.
Also, while I'm here... I might as well say that Pick Your Car! is probably my favorite track of the album. I really liked Solar Flare as well.
I'm going to start uploading the individual tracks from my album today. Because there are 9 tracks that need uploaded (there's 10 tracks on the album but Beat Saturation was an older song that was included on but not original to it so it's already uploaded) I'll be posting 3 each day until they're all uploaded. I don't want to get into trouble for spamming the audio portal.
I will add the download link for each module once the respective song is uploaded. I want to include the Newgrounds link in the comments of the file first.
I just realized I've forgotten to upload the individual tracks of my last albumfor an entire year.I'll be uploading them soon, but I'll be including the OpenMPT modules and the lists of every sample and their origins per song. It's very tedious to figure out each sample I used but I'm making steady progress with it. I only want to share my OpenMPT modules if they tell you exactly where I got the samples from. It's just nicer for others that way.
To my knowledge, OpenMPT still has some absolutely awful default keybinds which are very beginner unfriendly and generally unpleasant.
To help combat this I have decided to share my custom keybinds (and an included text file which describes what I've changed) in order to help people who want to start using the program. I also included my custom theme in case anyone wants to use that. The keybinds are tailored to my own workflow but they are general enough that others shouldn't have any issue with them.
OpenMPT has a steep learning curve even compared to other trackers, but it is very powerful and rewarding once you have figured it out.
The brief moments of happiness are now fading faster than ever. I'm alone on this island and I don't know where to even begin making my way off of it. It feels like I'm drifting further from the mainland every day.
Nobody's gonna help save me so I might as well accept my current state of being in this lonely void. I'm trying to hold on to hope that things will get better but it's hard when all the good in the world feels so much further away than the bad. Like Sisyphus, I'll still continue despite everything. It'll take far more than this to make me give up, but that doesn't change the fact that it still hurts. can't fucking wait until this time in my life is just a bad memory.
